The Dixie Grill

The Dixie Grill has been around almost as long as Wilmington. Today it’s a local hot spot that often has a line out the door, but don’t worry—it’s more than worth the wait. Their unique, delicious dishes always hit the spot, and their relaxed atmosphere and Southern hospitality guarantee a good time. Our favorites from their brunch menu include Banana Pecan French Toast, Sweet Potato Pancakes, and the amazing Dixie Benedict.

Located in downtown Wilmington, NC, Rx Restaurant and Bar isn’t just concerned with feeding your body—they also want to feed your soul.  They’re known for inventive dishes that rely almost entirely on local farmers and fishermen, with a menu that changes daily depending on what’s available. It’s the perfect place to grab a late breakfast before a day spent searching through Castle Street’s many antique shops.

Sweet n Savory Café

Consistently named one of the best local restaurants in Wilmington, NC, the Sweet N Savory Café serves up gourmet dishes without any pretense. This family friendly location has live music most nights, and their brunch menu has everything you could possibly want for a midmorning meal. This is a great place to fortify yourself before a long day at Wrightsville Beach, as it’s on the way to the water.

Also located near Wrightsville Beach, Boca Bay boasts an amazing Sunday brunch buffet. The spread includes biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict and Florentine, shrimps and grits, waffles, pancakes, muffins, smoked salmon, and good, strong coffee. Because this is such a popular spot, the dishes are constantly being replaced, so the food always tastes fresh. Make sure you come hungry—this buffet is all you can eat, and you’re going to want to make the most of it.
