Is it the right time? Wilmington NC Real Estate

Is it the right time? Time seems to be a reccurring theme lately when talking about real estate in Wilmington, NC. Last week I overheard someone asking if at 3.5% they should refinance their Carolina Beach vacation rental. Then a family member did just that. I also had one of the agents in the College Road office here at Network Real Estate send their clients upstairs to talk to me about Network Real Estate and the role we play in the Wilmington real estate market as well as the long term rental market. Seems they have decided it is indeed the time to invest in rental property. I know we all take in and hold onto every piece of suspect news we hear about the real estate market thinking it may just not quite be time yet but, take a serious look at what’s going on. It is still a buyer’s market with a fair amount of short sales and foreclosures available. The interest rates are the lowest I’ve ever seen them. Not everyone is upside down in their home values. Land is still the best deal in town and by land, I mean Real Estate. Carolina Beach house rentals as well as Kure Beach rentals that have been with Network Real Estate enjoy full rental seasons. Long term rentals are moving quickly. The phones are ringing. We are seeing a shift and interest is increasing daily in purchasing a home to live in, to vacation in and to invest in and rent. Even in the worst of times, folks still need a place to live. Logically then when inventory is plentiful, interest rates are low and rentals are up it all points in one direction…a recovering market that is ripe for investing in! So what are you wating for?
